Baptism is a special event for our congregation. People can choose to live their lives in honor of Christ, but when they make the decision to be baptized, that one act is telling the world that they will their best to live a life that glorifies God.
You see, this is one of the things that makes Christians different from other good people . . . making a statement by their actions that they are sinners, but can be saved by accepting Jesus as their Savior and will reject the temptations of “the world” by following in His footsteps.
